Since the age of 6 I have been dancing and I have been immersed in stories, books, films, drawings. Born in Berat, Albania, where I grew up until the age of 6, my family emigrated to Italy because of the troubled post-communist transition of the 90’s. In Italy I started my first steps as a ballet dancer and have continued my studies until graduating from Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance in London, UK. Traveling and living in different countries opened my view to new possibilities, new worlds. Along with dancing I continued writing stories, shooting films, choreographing theatre works in Opera, Drama, Musical. At the base of all my creative work there is a desire to tell stories that spark people’s imagination and have the potential to bring somewhere else for those 1 or 2 hours of their presence.
